Thanks for another super interesting article. I can see how people nowadays will kick back and reminisce about brigada and stuff like that. I agree that translation requires the highest level of cultural and linguistic knowledge, and I hope the world doesn’t go cheap and just accept what the machine spits out.

Language transmits culture, so AI will never do the job right. Since the programming languages are in English, I feel like the products of machine translation will always be biased towards the culture English transmits.

Very interesting. There are lots of similarities between BCMS and Bulgarian. Obvs they are both Slavic languages but I expected more difference.

I also worked with a developer called Zhivko a few years ago. Same linguistic root as Zhivkov or just random?
